%X The article retraces the most significant stages of the foundation and the development of the activities of the Interdepartmental Centre for Research on Victimology and Security (Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca sulla Vittimologia e sulla Sicurezza (C.I.R.Vi.S.), established in May 1991 at the University of Bologna.The centre was created in order to satisfy the needs of thinking about protean social phenomena, like victimization processes after violent behaviours that cause concerns. It was and it is still a problem that the entire social body is questioned, while a plurality of responses should be required. For this reason, since its foundation, the centre takes advantage of the contribution of professors and researchers coming from different departments and institutes, without neglecting the solicitations coming from various actors of the professional world.L¡¯article retrace les ¨¦tapes les plus importantes qui ont marqu¨¦ la naissance et le d¨¦veloppement des activit¨¦s du Centre Interd¨¦partemental de Recherche sur la Victimologie et la S¨¦curit¨¦ (Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca sulla Vittimologia e sulla Sicurezza (C.I.R.Vi.S.), fond¨¦ en mai 1991 ¨¤ l¡¯Universit¨¦ de Bologne.Le centre est n¨¦ pour r¨¦pondre ¨¤ l¡¯exigence de r¨¦fl¨¦chir sur des ph¨¦nom¨¨nes sociaux prot¨¦iformes, comme les processus de victimisations caus¨¦s par des comportements violents qui pr¨¦occupent. Il s¡¯agit d¡¯un probl¨¨me qui interpelait et qui interpelle encore aujourd¡¯hui le corps social tout entier et qui demande une pluralit¨¦ de r¨¦ponses. Pour cette raison, d¨¨s sa cr¨¦ation, le centre appelle ¨¤ contribution les professeurs et les chercheurs des diff¨¦rents d¨¦partements et ¨¦tablissements, sans n¨¦gliger les divers acteurs du monde professionnel.
