%0 Journal Article %T Civil Society Organizations of Public Interest and social protection assistance: a documental analysis %A F¨¢bio Luiz Quandt %A Luiz Roberto Agea Cutolo %J Sa¨²de & Transforma£¿£¿o Social %D 2010 %I Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina %X The Civil Society Organizations of Public Interest (CSOPI), with their actions and objectives, permeate various junctures in contemporary Brazilian State Social Welfare, such as the economy, employment, education and health. However, there is little research on their activities and ways of working. Regarding CSOPI social protection assistance, we sought to identify the distribution of entities at the national level, from the National Register of Entities of the Ministry of Justice (CNE/MJ) and thus characterize them, showing their audience, activity and purpose. Using the documental analysis method, we collected and discussed data from the National Registry of Entities of the Ministry of Justice. As results, coherent institutions were identified under their intended purpose, which lead to a standard of care in that category.
