%X The aim of this study was to understand schizophrenia people and their families perceptions about pharmacotherapy impact into disorder. We employ a qualitative approach, by Grounded theory from symbolic interactionism assumptions. 36 schizophrenic peoples was included and their families. We used the recorded interview to obtain data collected between 2008 to 2010. We observed among individuals expect that pharmacotherapy entailed a cure, stabilization or worsening in mental state, such expectations were changing and involving knowledge, experiences, desires, and different feelings. We consider the user perspective on the disorder deserve to be treated by the health team with skill and empathy for patients and family members can face to chronicity of schizophrenia reality in the best possible way.
