%X Le but de ces pages est de faire un tour d¡¯horizon, une sorte d¡¯esquisse de reconstitution, sans souci d¡¯exhaustivit¨¦, d¡¯un demi-si¨¨cle de travaux historiographiques en France, entre 1940 et 1990 environ. L¡¯historiographie ne s¡¯est pas encore tourn¨¦e sur sa propre histoire. Seule une histoire des historiens de l¡¯historiographie saurait mettre en ¨¦vidence son cheminement progressif, les obstacles surmont¨¦s, les directions prises ¨¤ tel ou tel moment, celles qui ont ¨¦t¨¦ aujourd¡¯hui abandonn¨¦es. Surtout, le fait que son affirmation n¡¯a pas ¨¦t¨¦ possible avant que sa justification n¡¯ait ¨¦t¨¦ l¨¦gitim¨¦e par d¡¯autres champs de la recherche pr¨¦alablement en faveur. O objetivo destas p¨¢ginas ¨¦ o de esbo ar uma reconstitui  o, n o exaustiva, de meio s¨¦culo de trabalhos historiogr¨¢ficos na Fran a, entre 1940 e 1990. A historiografia ainda n o se voltou para a sua pr¨®pria hist¨®ria. Apenas uma hist¨®ria dos historiadores da historiografia poderia dar a conhecer a sua gradual e progressiva transforma  o, os obst¨¢culos superados, as dire  es tomadas em tal e tal momento e as que est o, hoje, abandonadas. E principalmente, o fato de que a historiografia apenas se afirma ap¨®s ter a sua justifica  o legitimada por outros campos de pesquisa previamente em voga. The aim of these pages is to outline a non exhaustive reconstitution of half century of historiography work, in France, from 1940 to 1990. Historiography has not yet turned to its own history. Only a history of the historiography historians could provide the knowledge of its gradual and progressive transformation, of the transposed obstacles, of the directions taken in different moments and now abandoned. And mostly, the fact that historiography, in France, is only well accepted after its justification being legitimized by other previously well accepted research fields.
