%X Ce texte interroge les traces graphiques laiss¨¦es sur un corpus de formulaires de demande de logement social telles qu¡¯annotations, ratures, biffures et commentaires griffonn¨¦s. L¡¯¨¦tude de ces traces, laiss¨¦es en marge des cat¨¦gories de l¡¯imprim¨¦ administratif lors du remplissage, montre le recours au droit comme une op¨¦ration probl¨¦matique. Pour les administr¨¦s, il s¡¯agit de d¨¦crire leur situation de vie de sorte ¨¤ ¨¦tablir l¡¯¨¦ligibilit¨¦ ¨¤ un droit, mais bien souvent il est impossible de traduire celle-ci dans les cat¨¦gories pr¨¦¨¦tablies du formulaire. Les annotations et commentaires laiss¨¦s sur le formulaire tentent alors d¡¯ouvrir la cat¨¦gorisation juridique des situations ¨¤ une prise en compte de la singularit¨¦ des circonstances de vie du demandeur. Elles montrent le recours au droit comme un accomplissement r¨¦flexif, un travail ¨¤ la fois sur sa propre perception de sa situation et sur celle que l¡¯institution offre ¨¤ travers le formulaire, et dont la n¨¦gociation et la mise en  uvre sont au c ur de la production du dossier administratif. This text examines the graphical traces left on a collection of social housing application forms: annotations, erasures, crossed-out words and scribbled-out comments. The study of these traces, left in the margins of the categories on printed administrative forms in the process of being completed, shows the exercising of a right as a problematic operation. Citizens making applications must describe their living situation in a way that will establish their eligibility for a right, but quite often it is impossible to convey this through the form¡¯s predetermined categories. The annotations and comments left on the form attempt to open the legal classification of situations to considering the uniqueness of the applicant¡¯s living circumstances. They show the use of a right as an introspective accomplishment, requiring applicants to work both on their own perception of their situation and on that which the institution offers through the form, whose negotiation and implementation are at the heart of the production of administrative records.
