Tal resgate busca contribuir para o aprofundamento dos debates e versar¨¢ em torno dos elementos conceituais que comp em e que s o fundamentais para a compreens o da Avalia o da Educa o Superior, aqui metodologicamente organizados em dicotomias, dentre as quais pode-se citar: Qualidade Social x Qualidade Efici¨ºncia, Avalia o Quantitativa x Avalia o Qualitativa, Avalia o de Processo x Avalia o de Produto, Avalia o Global x Avalia o Pontual, Avalia o Contextualizada x Avalia o Descontextualizada, Avalia o Externa x Avalia o Interna, Avalia o Formativa x Avalia o Punitiva, entre outras. Tais aspectos aqui trazidos enquanto dicotomias revelam a exist¨ºncia de um cen¨¢rio plural nos debates e posi es sobre o tema da Avalia o da Educa o Superior, presentes tanto no campo da gest o acad¨ºmica e administrativa das Institui es de Ensino Superior quanto da gest o p¨²blica. This essay is the result of a recovery of concepts on the subject of Evaluation in relation to the Policies for Higher Education, explaining the dichotomous concepts found in specialized literature. Such recovery attempts to contribute to deepening discussions and will focus around the conceptual elements that comprise and are fundamental to understanding the Evaluation of Higher Education, here methodically organized into dichotomies, among which we can mention: Social Quality x Efficiency Quality , Quantitative Evaluation x Qualitative Evaluation, Process Evaluation x Product Evaluation, Overall Evaluation x Punctual Evaluation, Contextual Evaluation x Decontextualized Evaluation, External Evaluation x Internal Evaluation, Formative Evaluation x Punitive Evaluation, among others.
