%0 Journal Article %T Indoor signal attenuation assessment via fuzzy logic %A Alexandre de Assis Mota %A Lia Toledo Moreira Mota %A Rina Rondon Gonzalez %J Semina : Ci¨ºncias Exatas e Tecnol¨®gicas %D 2011 %I State University of Londrina %X This work focuses on the analysis of signal¡äs attenuation in indoor environments using a fuzzy logic approach based on the Shadowing Signal Propagation Model (SSPM). The SSPM allows the characterization of the attenuation caused by the environment through the ? parameter present in this model. In addition to this, the Fuzzy Logic provides a form of approximate reasoning that allows the treatment of problems with incomplete, vague and imprecise information. Also, it offers a simple way to obtain a possible solution for a problem using the heuristic knowledge about a particular situation.
