%X En el siguiente trabajo se pretende mostrar c車mo lleva a cabo William Goldman la adaptaci車n de su novela La princesa prometida al gui車n cinematogr芍fico que dar芍 lugar al filme hom車nimo dirigido por Rob Reiner. En el an芍lisis se har芍 un recorrido a lo largo de la naturaleza narrativa del lenguaje literario en contraste con el lenguaje f赤lmico desde un punto de vista general, as赤 como los recursos de los que se vale Goldman para llevar a cabo dicha adaptaci車n, en particular. En esta primera parte del estudio se abordar芍n los distintos niveles de ficci車n que se plantean tanto en la obra literaria como en la f赤lmica, as赤 como el uso abundante de lo que llamaremos ※trampas narrativas§ del autor, y la relevancia en cuanto al transvase de estas de una a otra obra.This work shows how William Goldman adapts his novel, The princess bride, to his screenplay which was directed by Rob Reiner. In this analysis, one will discuss the narrative nature of the literary work in contrast with the screenplay to determine the difference between both pieces. In addition, one will analyse the resources utilized by Goldman to carry out his adaptation of literature into a screenplay. First and foremost, one will examine the different fictional levels within the literary work as well as the screenplay. Secondly, one will explore the author＊s use of ※narrative traps§ and its significance within the literary work as compared to that of the screenplay.
