%X Skriptum introduces a utterly new rubric with the section A Glance into the Historian's Workshop (Blick in die Historikerwerkstatt). The main goal of this new section is to introduce the readership to the numerous fields of activity and manifold opportunities of historians. Simone W¨¹rz und Moritz Lenglachner, as skilled colleagues of the Academy of Science and Literature in Mainz, present their curent work in the sub-project Regesta Imperii to the reader, using the example of medieval regests of Emperor Frederick III. The creation of an exhaustive data-base follows the goal of collecting and archiving the different stocks of records originating from different German archives. The records are dated, worked through, put in order and are unified in order to make them accessible via internet to every historian. The numerous detailled steps of work which are required from scientifical assistants like Mortiz Lenglachner are shown in detail to sketch an accurate picture of the job-profile.
