Most of the lignans, which are the active constituents of its pharmacological effects, have biphenyl cyclooctene nucleus. Polysaccharides are also important pharmacologically active constituents. Terpenoids are main constituents of volatile oil. The pharmacological effects of Schisandra active ingredients are anti-poisoning effect of free radicals, enhancing liver¡¯s detoxification, a sedative effect on the central nervous system, enhancing immune of the body, regulating tissue metabolism and cardiovascular system function, anticancer and reversing multidrug resistance of the tumors. In applications, currently, it¡¯s mainly used for the treatment of hepatitis and neurasthenia, particularly for the treatment of hepatitis which is studied dephly. There are two kinds of new synthesized anti-hepatitis drugs DDB (DDB) and bicyclol (bicyclol),which are analogues of schizandrin C. Schisandra has been widely applicated in the area of drug, but the development in the areas of health care products in the food and beverage is also slow, therefore, the prospect of application is very broad, It most probably becoming a new type of fruit in the world in the future and enter our daily lives. Using pyrogallol autoxidation method mensures the free radical clearance rate of Schisandra methanol extract, and having analysised the reasons of the experimental result differing from the expectation. %K Bacillus subtilis %K Iturin A %K Biofilm %K Heavy metal. %U http://www.bmjournal.in/admin/photo/1362038503November%20-%201.pdf
