%X El estrago materno es una problem¨¢tica estructural que presenta una tenacidad especial en la relaci¨®n madre-hija. Para explicar este fen¨®meno, Freud investiga en la intensa ambivalencia propia de la relaci¨®n preed¨ªpica con la madre, mientras que Lacan equipara el deseo materno a la boca de un cocodrilo presto a devorar al ni o, de no ser por la intervenci¨®n paterna. El problema cl¨ªnico alude a la b¨²squeda en la madre de un significante ausente en la estructura, el de lo femenino, all¨ª donde el padre se revela insuficiente. Pero la insuficiencia del padre no es la excepci¨®n sino la regla que hace s¨ªntoma. La question clinique a ¨¤ voir avec le manque dans la m¨¨re d¡¯un signifiant absent dans la structure, celui du f¨¦minin, l¨¤ o¨´ le p¨¨re se montre insuffisant. Mais l¡¯insuffisance du p¨¨re ne fait pas exception ¨¤ la r¨¨gle mais sympt me. The clinical process of ravages in motherdaughter relationships and the foreclosure of the feminine Maternal ravages are a structural problem that reveals a special tenacity in mother-daughter relationships. To explain this phenomenon, Freud investigated the intense ambivalence typical in the pre-Oedipal relationship with the mother, while Lacan compared maternal desire to an open crocodile¡¯s mouth, ready to devour her child if it weren¡¯t for paternal intervention. This clinical problem alludes to the search, in the mother, for a signifier that is absent in the structure¡ªthe feminine¡ªthere where the father shows himself to be insufficient. But the father¡¯s insufficiency is not the exception, but rather the rule that makes a symptom.
