%0 Journal Article %T Moral and medical ethics in clinical practice act: the medical confidentiality and the protection of personal data in modern reality. %A Tsounis A. %A Sarafis P. %J Interscientific Health Care %D 2012 %I University of Thessaly %X Introduction: the moral dimension of medicine bounds together with the clinical practice from the early steps of its formation as a separate scientific field. Aim: The aim of this task is to negotiate issues of morality and ethics in everyday clinical practice. Special emphasis is given to the issue of medical confidentiality and the safeguarding of personal health data. Method: the methodology which was used included a review of Greek and international bibliographyreview with the help of keywords. Conclusions: in an era like today that social formation is characterized by a high share of knowledge and the revolutionary changes of biotechnology bring health professionals confronted with new ethical dilemmas, the period of self-regulation of physicians through flexible ideological rules appear to have been ensued definitively.
