%X Dans cet article, nous ¨¦tudions l¡¯ouverture d¡¯¨¦nonc¨¦ dans un texte allemand du philosophe Peter Sloterdijk (Zorn und Zeit, 2006) et sa traduction en fran ais par Olivier Mannoni (Col¨¨re et temps, 2009) ¨¤ l¡¯aune des quatre grands buts qui pr¨¦sident en principe ¨¤ l¡¯ordre des mots au sein de l¡¯¨¦nonc¨¦ (cf. Korzen et N lke, 1996) : le marquage du type d¡¯¨¦nonc¨¦, la distinction des fonctions grammaticales, l¡¯optimisation du message et la structuration informationnelle du message. ¨¤ partir de ces crit¨¨res d¡¯analyse, dont nous montrerons la pertinence et les limites, dans l¡¯¨¦conomie du texte, nous nous demanderons ¨¤ quelles conditions l¡¯ouverture d¡¯¨¦nonc¨¦ est un segment intraphrastique traduit et / ou ¨¤ traduire. This article deals with sentence-initial constituents in a German text (Zorn und Zeit, by the philosopher Peter Sloterdijk, 2006) and its French translation by Olivier Mannoni (Col¨¨re et temps, 2009). Those constituents are assessed relative to the four main criteria that usually account for word order in sentences (Korzen & N lke, 1996): indicating the sentence type, marking syntactic functions, making the message optimal, and information structure. On the basis of these criteria, the present paper seeks to determine under what conditions, in the corpus at hand, a sentence-initial constituent is translated or should be translated within a sentence; in so doing, the study also discusses the relevance and limits of these criteria.
