%X La relaci車n familia-escuela en la universidad es algo que necesita ser abordado y supere de esta forma el criterio de que la familia no participa en la educaci車n universitaria, juicio que nunca ha sido sometido a constataci車n cient赤fica que demuestre que es as赤, de ah赤 que el objetivo de este trabajo sea argumentar el papel de la familia en el desempe o acad谷mico del estudiante en la sede universitaria municipal argumentar. A partir de la caracterizaci車n que fue realizada a grupos de estudiantes de primer a o en tres carreras de la salud que desarrollan sus estudios en sedes municipales, fue realizado el an芍lisis porcentual de las variables funcionamiento familiar, m谷todo de estudio, desempe o acad谷mico y percepci車n familiar. La exploraci車n realizada recoge datos que son presentados en gr芍ficos y tablas. Las conclusiones presentadas confirman la necesidad de que la familia s赤 influye en el desempe o acad谷mico de los estudiantes universitarios y que la universidad debe expl赤citamente continuar en la promoci車n del fortalecimiento de la relaci車n hogar escuela en los centros de educaci車n superior, aspecto que nunca hab赤a sido abordado y que ser芍 un factor m芍s que apoye el trabajo de los tutores en este nivel de educaci車n en la municipalizaci車n-universalizaci車n y sin dudas, el desarrollo de los futuros profesionales de la salud. The relationship between the family and the school at the university level needs to be addressed in order to face the criteria that the family does not participate in the university education. This judgment has never been subjected to scientific scrutiny to demonstrate its validity, hence the objective of this paper was to substantiate the role of the family in the academic performance of the student in the municipal university centers. Based on the characterization of groups of first-year students in three health careers in municipal centers, the percentage analysis of the variables called family functioning, study methods, academic performance and family perception were made. The study collected data and presented them in graphs and tables. The conclusions confirmed the need for the family to influence on the academic performance of the university students and that the university must explicitly continue the strengthening of the relationship between school and home in the higher education centers. This aspect has never been dealt with before and it will be an additional supporting factor to the work of tutors at this educational level in municipality centers and will contribute to the development of future health professionals.
