Objetivo: identificar algunos conocimientos te車ricos generales sobre tuberculosis en el futuro m谷dico. M谷todos: se aplic車 una encuesta an車nima a 58 estudiantes de 6to. a o, para evaluar conocimientos sobre tuberculosis y su relaci車n con actividades docentes recibidas, experiencia con enfermos y/o pesquisa activa en la comunidad. En el test de 25 赤tems-100 puntos, se consider車 mal: menos de 60 puntos, aprobado: 60 a 76 y bien: 80 o m芍s. Resultados: se encontr車 un 31 % de resultados insatisfactorios, con dificultades en conocimientos generales, diagn車stico y tratamiento antituberculoso. Todos los estudiantes refirieron haber recibido actividades docentes relacionadas con tuberculosis, la mayor赤a te車ricas, fundamentalmente en Medicina Interna, Medicina General Integral y Pediatr赤a. El 82,8 % ten赤a experiencia previa con enfermos y/o pesquisa, sin relaci車n con los resultados de la encuesta. Conclusiones: hay insuficiente preparaci車n en los encuestados para el papel que deber芍n desempe ar en el control de la tuberculosis. Introduction: The preparation of the basic general physician is fundamental to the control of tuberculosis at the community. Objective: To identify some general theoretical knowledge on tuberculosis in the medical future. Methods: An anonymous survey was made to fifty eight 6th year students, in order to evaluate knowledge on tuberculosis and its relationship with received teaching activities, experience in treating patients and/or community-wide active screening. In the 25-item test with score of 100 points, the less-than-60 p scores were considered fail; 60 to 76 were pass; and 80 or over points were good. Results: There was found 31 % of unsatisfactory results with difficulties in general knowledge, diagnosis and anti-tuberculosis treatment. All the students pointed out to have received theoretical knowledge, mainly in internal medicine, comprehensive general medicine and pediatrics. Of the students, 82.8 % had previous experience with patients and with carrying out of screening, but unrelated to the survey results.
