%X Resumen: El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar los contenidos de historia del arte en el curr¨ªculo escolar y en algunos de los principales manuales escolares de 2o curso de ESO. En nuestro sistema educativo el papel de los contenidos de historia del arte tradicionalmente se han ense ado de forma minoritaria y como subsidiarios de la historia. Adem¨¢s ¨¦stos suelen presentarse principalmente desde una perspectiva descriptiva. En este trabajo vamos a intentar comprobar hasta qu¨¦ punto la historia del  arte sigue teniendo ese car¨¢cter ¡°subsidiario¡± de la historia en Educaci¨®n Secundaria, es decir, intentar valorar cu¨¢l es el peso real de la historia del arte en el ¨¢rea de Ciencias Sociales, Geograf¨ªa e Historia en esta etapa educativa y la forma en que los manuales de texto muestran los contenidos. Abstract: The main objective of this paper is to analyze the contents of Art History in the high school curriculum and in some of the major textbooks in the 2o of secondary school. In our educational system the role of content in art history traditionally taught as a minority and subsidiary of the History. Also these contents usually come mainly from a descriptive perspective. In this paper we will try to see how far Art History still has that character "subsidiary" of History in secondary school. We try to assess what the actual weight of the Art History in the area of Social Sciences, Geography and History in secondary school and the way the show textbook content.
