%X Em 1808, interesses antigos, aliados ¨¤s novas possibilidades come aram a ser analisados para que Portugal garantisse, al¨¦m de sua hegemonia na Am¨¦rica, medidas econ micas renovadas para tentar resolver velhos problemas. O objetivo deste artigo ¨¦ compreender a forma com que a Coroa portuguesa, por meio da especula  o diplom¨¢tica dispon¨ªvel ¨¤ ¨¦poca, movimentou seu rec¨¦m instalado aparato pol¨ªtico, econ mico e militar na col nia do Brasil no intuito de expandir suas imprecisas fronteiras meridionais at¨¦ a regi o do Rio da Prata logo da chegada da Corte portuguesa em territ¨®rio americano. In 1808 th , old interests coupled with new opportunities began to be examined to guarantee that Portugal, in addition to its hegemony in America, renewed economy measures to try solved old problems. The aim of this article is to understand the form that the Portuguese Crown, through the diplomatic speculation available at the time, moved its newly installed apparatus political, economic and military power in the colony of Brazil, with the objective to expand your imprecise southern borders to the Rio da Prata region once the arrival of the Portuguese Court in American territory.
