%X Este artigo analisa a forma pela qual o di¨¢rio argentino Clar¨ªn relatou/ representou o golpe civil-militar de 1964 no Brasil enquanto not¨ªcia/acontecimento, buscando enfatizar como o discurso jornal¨ªstico, mobilizando imagens e interpreta  es recorrentes, possivelmente atuou como um importante componente de uma ideologia da solu  o autorit¨¢ria frente ¨¤ crise pol¨ªtica e institucional que crescia na regi o desde, pelo menos, a d¨¦cada de 1950. This paper analyses the way by which argentine daily Clar¨ªn reported/ represented 1964 civilian-military coup in Brazil as a new/fact, intending to underline how that journalistic discourse, mobilizing recurrent images and interpretations, possible acted as an important component of an authoritative solution ideology face of the political and institutional crises that were growing in the region since as early as the decade of 1950.
