%X With the passage of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 a significant amount of funding and attention has been focused on kindergarten through third grade, with an aim at identifying and preventing the reading failure of young children. Many schools and districts across the United States have used literacy coaches or reading specialists to provide this early intervention.
