%X The late Western Hallstatt Culture has given decisive impulse on the formation of the La T¨¨ne culture. The phenomenon of defended aristocratic sites and of their princely burials with their close relations to the Mediterranean world in the 6th century is unique in the prehistory of Central Europe. The present paper aims to present the recent discoveries of an open settlement in Eberdingen-Hochdorf amid the context of the Hallstatt princely phenomenon.
