%X A trav¨¦s del estudio de un conjunto de urnas de Estilo Negro sobre Rojo tard¨ªo, planteamos la tem¨¢tica de las relaciones intergrupales en espacios fronterizos de naturaleza m¨²ltiple. La muestra se compone de 43 vasijas, en las que notamos una conjunci¨®n de elementos presentes en los estilos Santa Mar¨ªa y Bel¨¦n. A partir de un an¨¢lisis estil¨ªstico y contextual trataremos de dilucidar cu¨¢les fueron las din¨¢micas sociales que motivaron esta combinaci¨®n. Estas urnas se ubicar¨ªan en los momentos inmediatamente anteriores o contempor¨¢neos a la presencia efectiva de los inkas en el Noroeste Argentino, perdurando hasta el inicio de la conquista espa ola. As¨ª, reflexionamos acerca de la din¨¢mica de la expansi¨®n inkaica en la regi¨®n surandina, planteando que las transformaciones relacionadas con este proceso comenzar¨ªan a desarrollarse con anterioridad a la llegada de los representantes del Tawantinsuyu. Through the study of a particular group of Black on Red late urns, we examine the issue of multifaceted intergroup relationships in border areas. The sample is composed of 43 vessels in which we noticed an interesting blend of Santa Mar¨ªa and Bel¨¦n stylistic elements. Through a stylistic and contextual analysis, we attempt to explain the social dynamics behind this combination. The urns are dated immediately prior to or contemporary with the presence of the Inka in Northwest Argentina, up to the first Spanish conquest of the area. Using this case study, we will reflect on the dynamic of the Inka expansion in the South-Andean region, proposing that the transformation that resulted from the Imperial expansion would have begun before the arrival of the representatives of Tawantinsuyu.
