%X The subject of this article are social emotions in the context of disaster. In focus stands the health emergency caused by the outbreak of influen-za in Mexico, in 2009, which is studied by means of a survey. Fear, anger and indifference were among the most commonly expressed feelings. They arose out of the emotional impact and the social context in which the epidemic occurred.
