This work aims to approach the history of the involvement of women in the field veterinarian, taking as example the case of DCV-UCLA. The working methodology is based on the tenets of Synthesis History or Total History, of the Historiographical School of Barquisimeto, led by Reinaldo Rojas, and that uses the Comparative, Regressive and Inductive methods to make inferences on the subject of gender role this profession. Preliminary results suggest that the presence of women in the admission to the career, in the formation of promotions, academic staff, as much as research and extension staff, has a qualitative and quantitative sustained growth in recent years, so further research is necessary to evaluate the professional and social impact of this phenomenon. %K gender %K women %K Veterinary Medicine %U http://conhisremi.iuttol.edu.ve/pdf/ARTI000091.pdf
