In this case, this integration is achieved using filament winding technology which allows the creation of holes for the pins without cutting fibers. Therefore, high performance in strength and fatigue can be achieved, which is why the joint is also called integrated high performance joint (IHPJ). The strength of the IHPJ joint depends on many parameters, especially on the type of the fibre or the resin, diameter of the pins, and width or thickness of the wrapping. Consequently, the aim of this work was to create the computational model, by which means it will be possible to investigate the strength of described joint, thereby make the joint of required properties possible to design. The computational model was created in FEM system MSC.Marc, where the recently implemented failure criterion LaRC04 was used. The comparison of the numerical and experimental results shows that it is necessary to modify the criterion LaRC04. By means of the modified criterion LaRC04 it is possible to investigate the strength of the IHPJ joint in dependence on the geometry or the material with good accuracy. %K composite %K joint %K LaRC04 %K strength %K wrapping %U http://bulletin-am.cz/index.php/vam/article/view/87
