%X O texto analisa a disputa entre a sociologia do conhecimento de Karl Mannheim e a teoria cr¨ªtica, e mostra como estas duas sociologias, que conviveram no mesmo espa o em Frankfurt antes de 1933, em realidade compartilhavam muitos pontos comuns. A autora mostra, sobretudo em rela  o ¨¤ consci¨ºncia ut¨®pica, como estas duas sociologias alem s defendiam caminhos parecidos antes de terem que abandonar a Alemanha com a chegada do nacionalsocialismo ao poder. The article examines the dispute between Karl Mannheim¡¯s Sociology of Knowledge and the Critical Theory, and shows how both sociologies, who shared the same space in Frankfurt before 1933, actually share many common points. The author shows how both German sociologies defended similar paths especially in relation to the utopian consciousness before having to leave Germany after the advent of National Socialism.
