2,3,5-Trimethyl hydroquinone (TMHQ), as an important intermediate of vitamin E, was obtained via a two-step simple method. This synthetic route is suitable for industrial production owing to its several advantages such as brief reaction steps, mild conditions, simple work-up procedures, convenient manipulation and environmental friendliness.<span></span><b><span style=\"font-family:'Cambria','serif';font-size:10pt;\"></span></b>
