%0 Journal Article %T PhotocatalyticactivityofmesoporousmicrobricksofZnOnanoparticlespreparedbythethermaldecompositionofbis(2-aminonicotinato)zinc(II) %A Keyvan Bijanzad %A Azadeh Tadjarodi %A Omid Akhavan %J ´ß»¯Ñ§±¨ %P 742-749 %D 2015 %R 10.1016/S1872-2067(14)60305-3 %X £¿Hollowmicroblocksof[Zn(anic)2],asanovelcoordinationcompound,weresynthesizedusing2-aminonicotinicacid(Hanic)andzinc(II)nitratetetrahydrate.Thechemicalcompositionofthezinccomplex,ZnC12H10N4O4,wasdeterminedbyFouriertransforminfrared(FTIR)spectroscopyandelementalanalysis.ThesynthesizedzinccomplexwasusedasaprecursortoproduceZnOnanostructuresbycalcinationat550¡æfor4h.MorphologicalstudiesbyscanningelectronmicroscopyandtransmissionelectronmicroscopyrevealedtheformationofporousmicrobricksofZnOnanoparticles.N2adsorption-desorptionanalysisshowedthattheobtainedZnOmicrobrickspossessamesoporousstructurewithasurfaceareaof8.13m2/gandaporesizeof22.6nm.TheX-raydiffractionpatternofthefinalproductprovedtheformationofapureZnOcompositionwithahexagonalstructure.Moreover,FTIRanalysesshowedthatthe2-aminonicotinicacidligandpeakswereabsentafterthecalcinationstep.DiffusereflectancespectroscopywasusedtodeterminethebandgapenergyoftheproducedZnOanditwasabout3.19eV.ToinvestigatethephotocatalyticactivityoftheporousZnOnanostructure,aseriesofphotocatalytictestswerecarriedouttoremoveCongored,asarepresentativetoxicazodye,fromaqueoussolution.Theresultsshowthattheproductcanbeusedasanefficientphotocatalystforwastewatertreatmentwithhighdegradationefficiency. %K Znicoxide %K Bis(2-aminonicotinato)zinc(II) %K Mesoporous %K Photocatalyst %K Nanoparticle %U http://www.chxb.cn/CN/abstract/abstract21576.shtml
