%0 Journal Article %T EffectsofsenescenceontheexpressionofBDNFandTrkBreceptorinthelateralgeniculatenucleusofcats %A Chuan-Wang TONG %A Zi-Lu WANG %A Peng LI %A Hui ZHU %A Cui-Yun CHEN %A Tian-Miao HUA %J 动物学研究 %P 48-53 %D 2015 %R 10.13918/j.issn.2095-8137.2015.1.48 %X Toexploretheneuralmechanismsmediatingaging-relatedvisualfunctiondeclines,wecomparedtheexpressionsofbrain-derivedneurotrophicfactor(BDNF)anditshighaffinityreceptor-tyrosinekinaseB(TrkB)betweenyoungandoldadultcats.Nisslstainingwasusedtodisplayneuronsineachlayerofthelateralgeniculatenucleus(LGN).TheBDNF-andTrkBreceptor-immunoreactiveneuronswerelabeledimmunohistochemically,observedunderopticalmicroscopeandphotographed.Theirneuronaldensityandimmunoreactiveintensityweremeasured.ResultsshowedthatthemeandensityoftheNisslstainedneuronsineachLGNlayerwerecomparablebetweenoldandyoungadultcats,andtheirBDNFandTrkBproteinswerewidelyexpressedinallLGNlayers.However,comparedwithyoungadultcats,boththedensityandopticalabsorbanceintensityofBDNF-andTrkB-immunoreactivecellsineachLGNlayerinoldcatsweresignificantlydecreased.ThesefindingsindicatethatthedecreasedexpressionsofBDNFandTrkBproteinsintheLGNmaybeanimportantfactorinducingthecompromisedinhibitioninthecentralvisualnucleusandthefunctionalvisualdeclineinsenescentindividuals. %K Cat %K Lateralgeniculatenucleus %K BDNF %K TrkB %K Age-relatedchange %U http://www.zoores.ac.cn/CN/abstract/abstract3562.shtml
