%0 Journal Article %T Differentiationsof5-HTandGAScellsinthedigestivecanalsofRanachensinensistadpoles %A Xin-Yi LI %A Qian LI %A Yu-Hui ZHANG %J 动物学研究 %P 326-331 %D 2014 %R 10.13918/j.issn.2095-8137.2014.4.326 %X Inthecurrentstudy,5-nydroxytryptamine(5-HT)andgastrin(GAS)cellsinthedigestivecanalsofRanachensinensistadpolesatdifferentdevelopmentalstageswereinvestigatedbyimmunohistochemistry.Resultsshowedthatthe5-HTcellswereonlydetectedintheduodenumbeforemetamorphosisbegan,andwereextensivelydistributedinthestomach,duodenum,smallintestine,andrectumthereafter,withthehighestcountsfoundintheduodenumandrectumwhenmetamorphosiswascompleted.TheGAScellswereonlydistributedinthestomachandduodenum,andonlyrarelydetectedintheduodenumbeforemetamorphosisbegan,butincreasedinthestomachduringmetamorphosisandshowedzonaldistributioninthegastricmucosawhenmetamorphosiswascompleted.Metamorphosisisacriticalperiodforamphibians,duringwhichstructuralandfunctionalphysiologicaladaptationsarerequiredtotransitionfromaquatictoterrestrialenvironments.Duringmetamorphosis,thedifferentiationsof5-HTcellsinthegastrointestinalcanalsoftadpolescouldfacilitatemucussecretionregulation,improvedigestivecanallubrication,andhelpwater-shortagefooddigestioninterrestrialenvironments.Conversely,GAScelldifferentiationsduringmetamorphosismightcontributetothedigestiveandabsorptivefunctiontransitionfromherbivoretoomnivore. %K Ranachensinensistadpole %K Digestivecanal %K 5-nydroxytryptamine(5-HT)cell %K Gastrin(GAS)cell %K Ontogeny %U http://www.zoores.ac.cn/CN/abstract/abstract3501.shtml
