With this, the Torah has prominent status among the revealed books. The Holy QurĄŻan has declared the Torah as a source of guidance and fountain-head for the Jews, and it has pointed out that the Jews faced hardships because of not following the Torah. This was also their wickedness that they (the Jews) would change the verdicts of Allah, the most exalted, according to their own wishes. They did so with the Torah as well.
