%X Hiletus walterrossii new species is described from Sierra Leone, Africa. Only six Hiletus species were known so far, all confined to tropical Africa. The new species belongs to the alluaudi group sensu Erwin & Stork (1985). An identification key to this species group is provided and the features useful to distinguish species are discussed and illustrated
