%X The key points from the life and activity of Nikola Georgiev Popnikolov ¨C the director of longest standing (1959-1987) of the school ˇ°St. St. Cyril and Methodiusˇ± in Polikraishte, district Veliko Tirnovo for the whole history of its existence, are outlined. His erudition, ambition, energy, broad thinking, gift for administrative work and incredible efforts allowed him for the period of his lidership to bring to renaissance the education in the village and to raise its level to one of the best in the country. Undertaking a building programme of a vast scale to create contemporary conditions for teaching, he changed entirely the appearance of the school. He left an indelible trace in the history of Polikraishte and has a decisive contribution for the success of thousands of its inhabitants. His work is colossal and there is nothing with which it could be measured or evaluated
