%X During the great terror of 1937¨C1938 political, governmental and economical leaders were repressed as well as the high military command. The leading elite of the Lenin guard was liquidated. Its place was taken by a new set of leaders. They were young people who had no contribution for the revolution and had not taken part in the events from 1917¨C1920. Their uprise was due to their absolute loyalty to Stalin
