%0 Journal Article %T Personal and public space of the Ottoman merchants in XVI¨CXVII century (inspired by Filibe and Sofia) %J Bulgaria, the Bulgarians and Europe - Myth, History, Modernity %D 2017 %X The agrarian history of the Ottoman Empire occupied a large share of development issued so far. Citing introduced into scientific circulation material in the following lines we will attempt to outline the parameters of personal and public space of the Ottoman merchants in XVI¨C§·VII century. Focusing on confessional affiliation, and hence a different place they occupy in the development of the city. The author tries to offer a detailed insight into the mentality of traders representatives of the Catholic, Orthodox and Islamic religious community. Personal and their social space is oriented on the one hand to their official activity - production, sales, customer contacts and power on the other - to new knowledge and worlds to the strengthening and development of their religion, to the dissemination of the most valuable resource information.
