%0 Journal Article %T ˇ°A Home is Not Built in One Dayˇ± Residential Models in Sofia City in the 17th Century %J Bulgaria, the Bulgarians and Europe - Myth, History, Modernity %D 2018 %X The living space is an exemplary model of the most intimate nature of the individual. In the following lines, we will look at the labor-intensive task of creating a home in the 17th century in Sofia. We will look at all aspects of how to get a dwelling in the city and their relative price equivalents. By including all factors relevant to property selection and based on average market prices, we will attempt to parse the ˇ°preferredˇ± neighborhoods in the city. One of the main conclusions that we can make is the relatively stable price of properties in Sofia from the middle of the 16th century to the first half of the 17 th century. The standard increase in real estate that is available in the rest of the century can not be noticed. Approximately 30% of homes are around or below average and are the property of urban poverty.
