MIP is used mostly in elderly edentulous patients who lost their teeth when dentistry was not oriented to fixed or removable prosthetic. Notwithstanding this, every year cases of severe complications during MIP due to haemorrhage causing life-threatening airway¡¯s obstruction are reported.
