%X This award was endowed by its namesake in 1992 to recognize the presenter at the annual meeting who spoke the most eloquently ¡°. . . on the importance of clinical skills in medical practice and teaching.¡± In 1993 the Council enthusiastically selected Dr. Woodward as its first recipient, based on his presentation, entitled ¡°Edward L. Trudeau: Pioneer Climatologist,¡± which they felt epitomized the award¡¯s goal of ¡°. . . enhancing the art and science of clinical skills.
