%X Negative symptoms have been a core component of schizophrenia since the preİ\neuroleptic era and are related to particularly poor clinical outcomes (e.g., in terms of recovery, quality of life, subjective wellİ\being). They are often one of the first markers of illness risk, emerging in the premorbid and prodromal phases, and in many patients remain stable throughout the first episode and chronic phases of illness1. Unfortunately, the mechanisms underlying these symptoms are poorly understood, and currently available treatments are unsatisfactory and palliative at best2
