Three natural rock salts collected from Fayoum Governorate, Qattara Depression, and Siwa Oasis and two commercial salts (Table salt and Analytical NaCl) were studied for potential application to retrospective dosimetry. The chemical compositions of the samples were analyzed by using EDX technique. The Kinetic parameters were estimated by using peak shape method for general order. The deconvolution process for the glow curves was done using the peak fit program. The chemical analyses observe a difference in the trace impurities according to the collection area of the samples. All samples have three peaks (P1, P2, and P3) but the two peaks P2 and P3 suffered overlapping in case of table salt and Fayoum Governorate. The response curves are linear from, 10 up to 100 Gy for Table salt; Analytical salt and Siwa halite, in contrast, the dose¨Cresponse curves for Qattara Depression and Fayoum halite are linear from 0.8 up to 100 Gy. The TL signal fading of the samples ranged from 21% to 34%, from the initial signal. The experimental results and the estimated kinetic parameters can be dedicating the ability to use the five investigated salt samples as a retrospective dosimetry %U https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/16878507.2019.1662173
