In this paper, an important application of clock synchronization in wireless sensor networks is introduced. It is concluded that the deterministic causes of clock out-ofsynchronization are the effects of offset and drift rate. Five classic methods of improved synchronization method for comparative study. Including: the improved method of least squares ,delay measurement time synchronization, sensor network timing synchronization ,tiny synchronization, lightweight tree synchronization. And we summed up non deterministic factors such as precision, complexity, overhead and so on are summarized, and then we put forward the corresponding problems. Finally, the new development direction and trend of wireless sensor time synchronization algorithm are proposed.
