Utilizing Attribution Theory and Media Framing, this article analyzes the methods and frequency in which the language in sexual assault news stories assigns or minimizes attribution. Key variables include references to alcohol consumption, clothing, Greek systems, and case management by school administrators. Key discoveries were made, including the journalists¡¯ use of language showing support or doubt of victims.
