%X An analysis of presidential addresses to the Canadian Theological Society (CTS) since 1990 provides a snapshot of methodological and constructive issues in the discipline. Critique of modern or postmodern frameworks for theology, attention to context, and the reflection on the commitments of the theologian emerge as key methodological themes. Self-reflectively Canadian themes are surprisingly rare. Constructively, many addresses advocate for theology¡¯s ethical mandate
