Peguero %J Hispanic Journal of Behavioral Sciences %@ 1552-6364 %D 2018 %R 10.1177/0739986317752408 %X The following reflection essay is about my experiences as a Latino Associate Professor who focuses on criminology, youth violence, juvenile justice, and the associated disparities with race, ethnicity, and immigration. I reflect about the ˇ°race and justiceˇ± job market, pursuing and establishing a Latina/o Criminology working group, often being the only Latinx scholar in the room, and the significance of being a child of Latina/o immigrants in a precarious time of immigration and justice.
