Both states and districts have the authority to set curricular requirements for the well-being of their residents, even at times over parents¡¯ objections. Although no single statute guides courts in balancing the interests of states, districts, parents, and students, constitutional considerations are paramount, and courts generally defer to education decision makers and find for the expansion of knowledge
