In the first method, poly(urethane-imide) was reacted with iron oxide每silica particles magnetic and in second method synthesized poly(urethane-imide) was reacted with clay每(3-aminopropyl) triethoxysilane每iron oxide particles magnetic. Poly(urethane-imide)s were prepared using polyurethane prepolymer and pyromellitic dianhydride. The polyurethane prepolymers were prepared by reacting 4,4∩-diphenylmethane diisocyanate and polypropylene glycol. Magnetic clay每(3-aminopropyl) triethoxysilane每iron oxide nanoparticle has been prepared as a novel catalyst. The resulting magnetic nanocomposite films were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, vibrating sample magnetometery, and scanning electron microscopy. Observed data show that 3.5ˋpbw magnetic nanoparticles (iron oxide每silica and clay每(3-aminopropyl) triethoxysilane每iron oxide) have optimum thermal and magnetic properties when compared with pristine as well as other prepared samples containing nanocomposites less than 3.5ˋpbw nanoparticles %K Poly(urethane-imide) %K nanocomposites %K polyurethane %K polyimide %K magnetite nanoparticles %K clay %K iron oxide %K iron oxide每silica %K clay每(3-aminopropyl) triethoxysilane每iron oxide %U https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/8756087917719936
