%X Sa£¿etak On the basis of archival sources the paper reconstructs and analyses the role of Aleksa £¿elebonovi£¿ in the process of establishing the Yugoslav modernist model of exhibition presentation at the Venice Biennale between 1956 and 1964. The author considers £¿elebonovi£¿¡¯s activity as Yugoslav exhibition commissioner in the context of cultural and political agenda of the Yugoslav state, with the purpose of encouraging further research aimed at a more exhaustive understanding of £¿elebonovi£¿¡¯s endeavours as one of the protagonists of Yugoslav art scene who has not been given due scholarly attention
