ABSTRACT: The purpose of this assignment is to show the principle of the historical continuity in Unamuno: a permanent issue in his different stages as a writer and one of the mainstays where his historical personalism is based from the youthful contrast between evolution and revolution to the last months of his life when, in his essay Resentimiento Tr芍gico he reconsiders what, in fact, Spain is. Thanks to the principie of continuity many of his concepts acquire a historical and ontological soundness, which makes his persistent defence of the eternal tradition versus the extreme traditionalism 〞not only in his late century essays- more understable, all his intrahistoric theory against the historical positivism and against the revolutionary mythology, and his defence of the alterutral dialectic against the reprievable political extremisms %U http://campus.usal.es/~revistas_trabajo/index.php/0210-749X/article/view/1561
