%0 Journal Article %T Modern Science Perception in The 18th Century Ottoman State %A Can Abdullah G¨¹NAY %J - %D 2019 %X In this study, the birth of modern science perception in the Ottoman State was examined linked with the modernization process of the Ottoman State. This review was carried out within the framework of economical, political and military developments. As a matter of fact, it has been determined that scientific studies in the Ottomans have continuity but the birth of modern science perception doesn¡¯t occur simultaneously with the West. It was seen that the change of economic infrastructure played a major role in the emergence of this situation. Thus, these concrete results have created the historical conditions of the modern science perception in the Ottoman State.
