%0 Journal Article %T Enucleation Techniques In Prostate Surgery %A Sefa Alperen £¿ZT¨¹RK %J - %D 2018 %X Benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) is a common urologic disease that lows the quality in men's life. Especially after the 4th decade of life the prevelance of BPH is increasing. If the medication is not enough in the treatment than suitable surgical procedures must be recommended to the patients. In present there is different surgical techniques performing. The European Assocaiation of Urology guideline recommends Transurethal Resection of Prostate (TUR-P) as a gold standart for men with prostate sizes of 30-80 ml. When the prostate size is over than 80 ml. open prostatectomy or endoscopic enucleation of prostate such as holmium laser or bipolar enucleation are the first choices. But open prostatectomy has high perioperative and postoperative morbidity.
