%0 Journal Article %T A Survey Study on Habits of Fish Consumption in Konya Province (Turkey) %A Y£¿ld£¿z BOLAT %J - %D 2018 %X In this study, it was aimed to determine habits of fish consumption in the province of Konya. The survey was conducted between September 2015 and October 2016 with a face to face question and answer format with 424 individuals, 128 of whom were randomly selected and 296 were men. It was determined that the individuals participating in the survey were most in the 19-24 age group (27%). It was determined that 40% of the individuals participating in the survey were students, and 53 % of them were university and 26 % were high school graduates. It was seen that 51 % of the participants consumed seafood once a month and 97 % preferred fresh seafood. It has been determined that 60% of the customers prefer to cook fish by frying. While 4 % of the respondents consume all types of meat, 27% consume red meat, 13% chickens and 12% prefer fish meat. It was determined that 49% of consumer prefer sea fish.
